Massachusetts Programs and Incentives

As an authorized provider for the majority of the State of Massachusetts programs and incentives, we are your one stop shop for home performance and efficiency upgrades and any associated rebates or incentives. Our participation in these programs means we can do the work directly with you and walk you through the paperwork for available discounts, rather than having to subcontract this work out. A couple of the more popular programs are described below.

Mass Saves -- Insulation Incentives

If you’re thinking about upgrading your insulation, check with Mass Save to see if you qualify for their insulation incentives. You could save 75% on your insulation project, up to $2,000. Additionally, you could be eligible for targeted air sealing of air leaks in drafty areas of your home at no cost. If we assess your home and determine you need insulation work, we’ll be sure to check to see if you are eligible for this program and pre-approve you before we begin work!

Department of Energy Home Energy Score

A home energy score is essentially a benchmark test to see how your home is performing, similar to determining the miles-per-gallon on your car. Finding your home’s score is a great way to see how much energy your home is using, demonstrate your home’s value to prospective buyers, or identify ways to improve your home’s efficiency.

Apart from being able to compare your home’s performance to other homes, nation wide, a home energy score provides you with three things:

  1. The score itself
  2. A home energy usage report which breaks down the energy consumption of your home’s various systems
  3. Recommendations and suggestions for how to improve your score

The first step is to calculating your score is to contact The Energy Store and have us start collecting info on your home through a preliminary walk through. Contact us today to learn more or schedule your home assessment.

Home Performance with ENERGY STAR (HPwES)

The State of Connecticut is a proud to partner with the U.S. Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency to provide the HPwES program to its residents. We are very happy to be able to provide services through this program as well. We will complete a home performance assessment of your home, known as a home energy audit, and then make suggestions for home improvements that fit both your home’s specific needs and the eligibility requirements of the ENERGY STAR program.

With this program, you choose from a list of detailed and home specific enhancements and The Energy Store will get preauthorization for any available incentives and rebates. To set up your home assessment or learn more about our services, contact us today!
